These crude drawings communicated the kinetic energy I envisioned for a montage in the film's opening scene. Additionally, I displayed the shot size, angle, and camera movement for all scenes when applicable for a more complete filming blueprint.
In this scene, the meek, uncorrupted, but directionless protagonist meets two other boys who start his journey towards a dark path. I composed the scene to demonstrate the power emanating from the two boys and the weak uncertainty from the protagonist.
Nailing down a schedule was a challenge because of reshoots, the availability of a student cast and crew, and the blessed Oregon weather.
However, as director, I navigated through the storm by constantly revising and communicating the evolving shooting schedule.
